He held key management positions with two Fortune 500 companies prior to starting Melaleuca in September 1985. Under VanderSloot’s leadership, Melaleuca has been ranked high on the Inc. Magazine list of the nation’s 500 fastest-growing, private companies and is one of only 55 companies in America to be listed as a member of the Inc. 500 Hall of Fame. Most recently, Melaleuca was awarded the 2003 Environmental Excellence Award by the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry. In June 2001, VanderSloot was named Ernst & Young, CNN and USA Today’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” for the U.S. Northwestern region. VanderSloot serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was recently named regional vice-chairman for the organization.\r\n\r\nIn addition to managing Melaleuca, Frank and Belinda own several large cattle ranches.
